TIVAT, Porto Montenegro, 26. April 2026 – Der Adria Future Summit, der bereits zum vierten Mal in Folge in Porto Montenegro stattfand, hat seinen Ruf als wichtigste regionale Veranstaltung bestätigt, die globale Führungspersönlichkeiten aus Politik und Wirtschaft zusammenbringt.
Die diesjährige dreitägige Veranstaltung mit mehr als 1.200 Teilnehmern aus vier Kontinenten hat sich zu einem Ort entwickelt, an dem Vereinbarungen getroffen und die Zukunft der Region gestaltet wird. Der Summit wird von Sustineri Partners in Partnerschaft mit der Regierung Montenegros und unter der Schirmherrschaft des Präsidenten Montenegros organisiert.
Die Teilnahme umfasste globales Kapital, Regierungsvertreter sowie junge Führungspersönlichkeiten aus der Region, die als vollwertige Teilnehmer eingebunden waren.

Strategisches Engagement auf höchster Ebene
Die mit der Region verbundenen Unternehmen und Institutionen entsandten ihre Führungsspitzen und nicht lediglich Delegationen, was die Positionierung des Summits als eine der wenigen produktiven Schnittstellen zwischen der Europäischen Union und dem übrigen nicht-westlichen Wirtschaftsraum bestätigt. Der montenegrinische Premierminister Milojko Spajić und John Jovanović, Präsident und Vorsitzender der Export-Import Bank der Vereinigten Staaten, unterstrichen die zunehmende US-Beteiligung zu einem Zeitpunkt, an dem Montenegro die regionale EU-Annäherung anführt und 2026 den Berliner Prozess leitet. Mohamed Alabbar, Gründer und Vorsitzender von Eagle Hills, skizzierte eine Vision für Montenegro und die Adria als direkte Nutznießer der nächsten Phase von KI-getriebenem Wachstum und Investitionen.
Von Politik zu bankfähigen Projekten
Der Energiebereich brachte politische Strategien und Umsetzung in einem gemeinsamen Rahmen zusammen. Gemeinsam ausgerichtet vom montenegrinischen Ministerium für Energie und Bergbau und dem Sekretariat der Energiegemeinschaft, mit Unterstützung der Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), fand das Ministerforum Energie parallel zum Summit statt.
Darauf folgte der Energy Investment Dialogue, der Minister mit internationalen Investoren, Projektentwicklern und Finanzinstitutionen zusammenbrachte, um festzulegen, welche Projekte in der Region bankfähig sind und wer zuerst handelt. Aus dieser Diskussion ging ein 50/50-Joint Venture zwischen Masdar und Elektroprivreda Crne Gore (EPCG) hervor, mit Sitz in Nikšić, zur Entwicklung erneuerbarer Energien für den Export in den Westbalkan und nach Südeuropa über Montenegros bestehende Untersee-Verbindung mit Italien.
Sveti Stefan kehrt auf die globale Landkarte zurück
Alfredo Longo, CEO von Monterock International, bestätigte auf dem Summit, dass Sveti Stefan und Villa Miločer in dieser Saison wiedereröffnet werden. Die Villa Miločer öffnet am 21. Mai, dem Tag, an dem Montenegro 20 Jahre seit der Wiedererlangung seiner Unabhängigkeit begeht; die Insel wird ab Juni schrittweise wiedereröffnet. Der Komplex wird eine Kombination aus Aman, Nammos und Zuma beherbergen, die weltweit an keinem anderen Ort verfügbar ist.
Monetärer Dialog verlagert sich nach Süden
Erstmals kamen die Zentralbankgouverneure von Slowenien, Estland und Montenegro beim Summit zusammen, um über die Zukunft des Geldes in einem digitalen Europa zu diskutieren. Die Sitzung signalisierte, dass die geldpolitische Debatte auf europäischer Ebene, einschließlich des digitalen Euro und der Gestaltung digitaler Zentralbankwährungen, nun auch einen südlichen Austragungsort hat und dass das Mandat des Summits sich auf politische Diskussionen auf europäischer Ebene erstreckt.
KI, Innovation und die breitere Agenda
Der Technologiebereich des Summits positionierte den Übergang der Region von einem Dienstleistungsexporteur zu einem Entwickler eigener Produkte, wobei souveräne KI-Fähigkeiten als zentrales Thema des kommenden Jahrzehnts identifiziert wurden: das aufzubauen und zu besitzen, was die Region selbst entwickelt, und nicht nur das zu liefern, was andere entwerfen. Der Adria Future Hackathon und die Initiative Adria ScaleUp unterstützten Frühphasen-Teams und investitionsreife Unternehmen und stellten KI und Innovation als regionalen Entwicklungspfad dar.
Das umfassende Programm behandelte zudem Telekommunikation und digitale Infrastruktur, Immobilien und Tourismus, nachhaltige Finanzierung, Gesundheit und Langlebigkeit, verantwortungsvolles Unternehmertum, Arbeitskräfte und Qualifikationen sowie Rechtsstaatlichkeit.
Der Adria Future Summit kehrt 2027 nach Montenegro zurück.

Adria Future Summit: An Event Not to Be Missed
TIVAT, PORTO MONTENEGRO, 26 April 2026 – Held for the fourth consecutive year in Porto Montenegro, the Adria Future Summit has confirmed its reputation as the most important regional event bringing together global leaders from the worlds of politics and business.
This year’s three-day event, with more than 1,200 participants from four continents, has become a place where agreements are reached and the region’s future is charted. The Summit is organised by Sustineri Partners in partnership with the Government of Montenegro and under the auspices of the President of Montenegro.
Participation spanned global capital, government leadership, and young regional leaders, who joined as full participants.

Strategic engagement at the highest level
The companies and institutions engaged with the region sent their principals, not their delegations, confirming its positioning as one of the few productive interfaces between the European Union and the rest of the non-Western economy. Prime Minister Milojko Spajić of Montenegro and John Jovanović, President and Chairman of the Export-Import Bank of the United States, framed the deepening US engagement at a moment when Montenegro leads regional EU accession and chairs the Berlin Process in 2026. Mohamed Alabbar, Founder and Chairman of Eagle Hills, set out a vision for Montenegro and the Adriatic as direct beneficiaries of the next phase of AI-driven growth and investment.
From policy to bankable projects
The energy block brought policy and implementation into the same space. Co-hosted by Montenegro’s Ministry of Energy and Mining and the Energy Community Secretariat, with the support of GIZ, the Ministerial Energy Forum ran in parallel with the Summit. It was followed by the Energy Investment Dialogue, which brought ministers together with international investors, developers and financial institutions to determine which projects in the region are bankable and who moves first. From this discussion emerged a 50/50 joint venture between Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company (Masdar) and Elektroprivreda Crne Gore (EPCG), headquartered in Nikšić, to develop renewable energy for export to the Western Balkans and Southern Europe via Montenegro’s existing subsea interconnection with Italy.
Sveti Stefan returns to the global map
Alfredo Longo, CEO of Monterock International, confirmed at the Summit that Sveti Stefan and Villa Miločer will reopen this season. Villa Miločer opens on 21 May, the day Montenegro marks 20 years since the restoration of independence; the island reopens in phases from June. The complex will host a combination of Aman, Nammos and Zuma, available at no other location worldwide.

Monetary dialogue moves south
For the first time, the central bank governors of Slovenia, Estonia and Montenegro convened at the Summit to discuss the future of money in a digital Europe. The session signalled that European-level monetary debate, including the digital euro and central bank digital currency design, now has a southern venue and that the Summit’s mandate extends to European-level policy discussions.
AI, innovation and the wider agenda
The Summit’s technology track positioned the region’s transition from a services exporter to a product builder, with sovereign AI capability identified as the next-decade thesis: building and owning what the region innovates, not just delivering what others design. The Adria Future Hackathon and the Adria ScaleUp initiative supported early-stage teams and investor-ready ventures, framing AI and innovation as a regional pipeline rather than a single project. The wider programme covered telecommunications and digital infrastructure, real estate and tourism, sustainable finance, health and longevity, responsible business, workforce and skills, and the rule of law.
