Anlässlich des Europatages, des 30. Jahrestages des Beitritts Österreichs zur Europäischen Union, des 80. Jahrestages des Endes des Zweiten Weltkrieges und der Gründung der Vereinten Nationen, sowie des 50. Jahrestages der Schlussakte von Helsinki (OSZE) und des 70. Jahrestages des Beitritts Österreichs zu den Vereinten Nationen als deren 70. Mitglied, lud das Team Europa zu einem Empfang ein.

Gastgeber der Veranstaltung war das EUROPA-TEAM in Österreich, bestehend aus: Botschafter S.E. Carl Hallergård, Leiter der Delegation der Europäischen Union bei den Internationalen Organisationen in Wien, Botschafterin I.E. Rasa Ostrauskaite, Ständige Vertreterin der Europäischen Union bei der OSZE, Herr Frank Piplat, Leiter des Verbindungsbüros des Europäischen Parlaments in Österreich, Herr Patrick Lobis, Leiter der Vertretung der Europäischen Kommission in Österreich, Herr Frank Schuster, Leiter des Büros der Europäischen Investitionsbank-Gruppe in Österreich, Frau Sirpa Rautio, Direktorin der Agentur der Europäischen Union für Grundrechte und Herr Artur Lorkowski, Direktor des Sekretariats der Energiegemeinschaft.

Nach dem Einführungsteil und der Begrüßungsrede von Patrick Lobis, Leiter der Vertretung der Europäischen Kommission in Österreich, folgte die Ansprache des EU-Kommissars für Inneres und Migration, Herr Magnus Brunner (ehemaliger österreichischer Finanzminister 12/2021-11/2024).

Musikalisches Intermezzo zu Ehren der polnischen EU-Ratspräsidentschaft

Nach dem offiziellen Teil folgte ein musikalisches Intermezzo, veranstaltet von der Botschaft der Republik Polen in Österreich zu Ehren der polnischen Ratspräsidentschaft der Europäischen Union 2025 (vam 1. Jänner bis 30. Juni 2025).

TEAM EUROPE’s Europe Day in Austria

On the occasion of Europe Day, the 30th anniversary of Austria’s accession to the European Union, the 80th anniversary of the end of the Second World War and the founding of the United Nations, as well as the 50th anniversary of the Helsinki Final Act (OSCE) and the 70th anniversary of Austria’s accession to the United Nations as its 70th member, the Europe team invited to a reception.

The event was hosted by the EUROPE TEAM in Austria, consisting of: The Head of the Delegation of the European Union to the International Organisations in Vienna
H.E. Ambassador Carl Hallergård, Permanent Representative of the European Union to the OSCE H.E. Ambassador Rasa Ostrauskaite, Head of the Liaison Office of the European Parliament in Austria Mr Frank Piplat, Head of the Representation of the European Commission in Austria Mr Patrick Lobis, Head of European Investment Bank Group Office in Austria Mr Frank Schuster, Director of the European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights Ms Sirpa Rautio and Director of the Energy Community Secretariat Mr Artur Lorkowski.

After the introductory part and the welcoming speech by Patrick Lobis, Head of the Representation of the European Commission in Austria, the speech by the EU Commissioner for Home Affairs and Migration, Mr. Magnus Brunner (former Austrian Finance Minister 12/2021-11/2024) followed.

Musical intermezzo in honor of the Polish EU Council Presidency
The official part was followed by a musical intermezzo, organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Austria in honor of the Polish Presidency of the Council of the European Union in 2025 (from 1 January to 30 June 2025).
