Paraguay feiert 100 Jahre Guarania-Musik und Österreich 200 Jahre Johann Strauss

Am Dienstag, den 26. August, fand in der Säulenhalle des Weltmuseums eine Gala zu großen musikalischen Jubiläen statt – 100 Jahre paraguayische Guarania-Musik und 200 Jahre seit der Geburt des österreichischen Musikgenies Johann Strauss.

Dieses musikalische Potpourri, das Paraguay und Österreich auf fantastische Weise vereinte, wurde von der Paraguayisch-Österreichischen Kulturellen Gemeinschaft – Asopara und mit Unterstützung von: Regierung von Paraguay, Außenministerium von Paraguay, Botschaft der Republik Paraguay in der Republik Österreich und Welt Museum Wien, organisiert.

Zu Beginn des Abends wurden die versammelten Gäste vom Botschafter Paraguays in der Republik Österreich, S.E. Prof. Dr. Juan Francisco Facetti begrüßt, anschließend folgte in der historischen Kulisse des Wiener Weltmuseums eine Musik- und Tanzdarbietung der Extraklasse.

Dieses einzigartige Konzert, bei dem das Harfenist*Innensextett des Studios Sonrisa aus Japan und die Tanzgruppe Jeroky Paraguay aus Wien gemeinsam auftraten, verband auf faszinierende Weise Südamerika und Europa am Fuße der Alpen mit dem Fernen Osten und legte dabei den Schwerpunkt auf Guarani-Musik und Johann Strauss.

Paraguay celebrates 100 years of Guarania music and Austria 200 years of Johann Strauss

On Tuesday, August 26, gala celebrating major musical anniversaries took place in the Columned Hall of the World Museum – 100 years of Paraguayan Guarania music and 200 years since the birth of the Austrian musical genius Johann Strauss.

This musical potpourri, which united Paraguay and Austria in a fantastic way, was organized by the Paraguayan-Austrian Cultural Community – Asopara and with the support of: the Government of Paraguay, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Paraguay, the Embassy of the Republic of Paraguay in the Republic of Austria and the Welt Museum Vienna.

At the beginning of the evening, the assembled guests were welcomed by the Ambassador of Paraguay to the Republic of Austria, H.E. Prof. Dr. Juan Francisco Facetti, followed by a first-class music and dance performance in the historic setting of the Vienna World Museum.

This unique concert, featuring the harp sextet of Studio Sonrisa from Japan and the dance group Jeroky Paraguay from Vienna, fascinatingly connected South America and Europe at the foot of the Alps with the Far East, focusing on Guarani music and Johann Strauss.
