Rasa Ostrauskaite, der Leiter des Verbindungsbüros des Europäischen Parlaments in Österreich, Herr Frank Piplat, der Leiter der Vertretung der Europäischen Kommission in Österreich, Herr Patrick Lobis, der Leiter des Büros der Europäischen Investitionsbank-Gruppe in Österreich, Herr Frank Schuster, die Direktorin der Agentur der EU für Grundrechte, Frau Sirpa Rautio und der Direktor des Sekretariats der Energiegemeinschaft, Herr Artur Lorkowski, zu einem festlichen Konzert ein.

Das Konzert mit dem Titel “TEAM EUROPE INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY CONCERT” fand am Samstag, dem 8. März, im Brahms-Saal des Wiener Musikvereins statt und wurde vom fantastischen Beethoven Frühling Festival Orchestra unter der Leitung von Dorothy Khadem-Missagh aufgeführt.

Über das Konzert
Am Internationalen Frauentag standen vier starke Frauen – zwei Komponistinnen, eine Dichterin und eine Dirigentin – im Mittelpunkt des TEAM EUROPE-Konzerts zum Internationalen Frauentag.
Nämlich, Dorothy Khadem-Missagh und das Beethoven Frühling Festival-Orchester haben die Werke von Flora Marlene Geißelbrecht und Louise Farrenc präsentiert. Diese Komponistinnen schlagen eine Brücke von der Romantik in die Gegenwart und behandeln dabei drängende Fragen aus Vergangenheit und Gegenwart.
Auf dem Programm standen Werke von Flora Marlene Geißelbrecht, „Die Waffen nieder!“ (Wiener Erstaufführung) und Louise Farrenc, Sinfonie Nr. 3 g-Moll op. 36 aufgeführt vom Beethoven Frühling Festival-Orchester und Rafael Fingerlos (Bariton) unter der Leitung von Dorothy Khadem-Missagh.
Nach einem großartigen Konzert zum Internationalen Frauentag folgte ein kleiner Empfang.

TEAM EUROPE INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY CONCERT: Concert in honor of International Women’s Day took place in Vienna
On the occasion of International Women’s Day, invited to a festive concert: the Head of the Delegation of the European Union to the International Organisations in Vienna H.E. Ambassador Carl Hallergård, the Permanent Representative of the European Union to the OSCE H.E. Ambassador Rasa Ostrauskaite, the Head of the Liaison Office of the European Parliament in Austria Mr Frank Piplat, the Head of the Representation of the European Commission in Austria Mr Patrick Lobis, the Head of European Investment Bank Group Office in Austria Mr Frank Schuster, the Director of the European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights Ms Sirpa Rautio and the Director of the Energy Community Secretariat Mr Artur Lorkowski.
The concert entitled “TEAM EUROPE INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY CONCERT” took place on Saturday March 8th in the Brahms-Saal of the Vienna Musikverein and was performed by the fantastic Beethoven Spring Festival Orchestra conducted by Dorothy Khadem-Missagh.
About the concert
On International Women’s Day, four strong women – two composers, one poet and one conductor – take centre stage in the TEAM EUROPE International Women’s Day Concert.
Namely, Dorothy Khadem-Missagh and the Beethoven Frühling Festival-Orchestra presented works by Flora Marlene Geißelbrecht and Louise Farrenc. These composers create a bridge from the romantic period to present times while addressing pressing issues from the past and today.
The program included works by Flora Marlene Geißelbrecht, “Lay down your arms!” (Vienna première) and Louise Farrenc, Symphony No. 3 in G minor, op. 36 performed by the Beethoven Spring Festival Orchestra and Rafael Fingerlos (baritone) under the direction of Dorothy Khadem-Missagh.
A great concert for International Women’s Day was followed by a small reception.
