NATIONAL DAY OF GREECE: Griechenlands Nationalfeiertag wurde gestern in Wien zelebriert (VIDEO) (D&ENG)

Anlässlich des Nationalfeiertages von Griechenland luden S.E: Georgios Iliopoulos, Botschafter und Ständige Vertreter Griechenlands bei den internationalen Organisationen in Wien und Gattin Anthoussa Diakopoulou, gemeinsam mit S.E. Evangelos Kalpadakis, Botschafter und Ständiger Vertreter Griechenlands bei der Organisation für Sicherheit und Zusammenarbeit in Europa (OSZE) mit Gattin Chara Karagiannidou, ein.

Der Empfang anlässlich der Feierlichkeiten zum Nationalfeiertag fand am Mittwoch, 18. März, in den Räumlichkeiten der Botschaft des Hellenischen Staates in Wien statt.

Zu Beginn des offiziellen Teils gab es die Darbietungen der Nationalhymnen Griechenlands, Österreichs und Beethovens “Ode an die Freude”, die Hymne der Europäischen Union, danach folgten Begrüßungsansprachen von Botschafter Iliopoulos und Kalpadakis.

Es folgte ein Empfang, der die wunderbare Gastfreundschaft des hellenischen Staates vermittelte und durch die für die Ägäis charakteristischen Spezialitäten und Weine abgerundet wurde.

National Day of Greece

On the occasion of National Day of Greece, H.E. Georgios Iliopoulos, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Greece to the International Organizations in Vienna, and his wife Anthoussa Diakopoulou, together with H.E. Evangelos Kalpadakis, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Greece to the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE), and his wife Chara Karagiannidou, extended an invitation.

The reception to mark the National Day celebrations took place on Wednesday, March 18th, at the Embassy of the Hellenic State in Vienna.

The official part began with performances of the national anthems of Greece, Austria and Beethoven’s “Ode to Joy”, the anthem of the European Union, followed by welcoming speeches from Ambassador Iliopoulos and Kalpadakis.

This was followed by a reception that conveyed the wonderful hospitality of the Hellenic state and was rounded off by specialties and wines characteristic of the Aegean.
